Lorraine Campo
In
November, 2004, Lorraine Campo became the director of the Good Shepherd
Children's Center. Lorraine has been working in the early education field for
over 20 years on
and off, in between having and raising her two sons Kyle and Michael. Kyle
attends Sayreville War Memorial High School, and is graduating June 2009. Michael enjoys karate classes at a local school in Old Bridge
karate school and will be entering the 6th grade in the fall of 2009.
Lorraine was awarded her Child Development Associate Degree in March of 2004
after working on it for about 2.5 years, requiring her to attend many different
seminars all over the state of NJ. Needing 120 hours in all, she ended with 130.
After writing about each of six developmental goals, she endured an oral and
written examination. All that information, testing and work was then submitted
to a panel of experts in Washington DC to see if they felt she deserved the CDA
credential. It was quite a process and is one of her proudest accomplishments.
She and her husband Vincent own Always and Forever Flowers on Rte 516 in Old
Bridge. They opened the store in 2004; so far so good.
Since taking the job of director at GSCC, she hasn't been happier.
