The church committees and a brief description of their responsibilities follows.

Building and Grounds

Administers any necessary repairs required on all Church property, including property renovations and emergency repairs.

Family Life/Fellowship

Enhances the lives of our congregants through the development and execution of programs with a Christian emphasis.

Counters

This group counts the offerings after the 10:30 a.m. service (and after special services).

Geek Squad

Splicers & Dicers:

Record the service, use audio editor to generate MP3 versions of the service and sermon for use on the web, upload those to the web site.

CD Burners:

From the MP3 service, generate split version appropriate for use on CDs, create a set of CDs for use by shut-ins.

Missions

Develops educational programs in the areas of mission work, establishes mission programs, and encourages individual support of mission projects.

Christian Outreach

Conceives and implements programs for the systematic communication for the purpose of sharing the ministry and programs of Good Shepherd.

Christian Education/Youth

Supervises all areas pertaining to Christian Education.

Stewardship

Educates the members of Good Shepherd on the concepts of Christian Stewardship and encourages them to live out those principles in their everyday lives.

Ushers

Both services need ushers to hand out bulletins, hymnals or special materials (if needed), and to help people find a seat. There are four teams for the 10:30 a.m. service and two teams that alternate for the 8:00 a.m. service.

Worship and Music

Develops and implements styles of our worship and supplemental activities to enhance our worship experience.
